Since 2008 Slate Belt residents have been able to find Ashley diligently working behind the chair. She attended Metro Beauty where she graduated top of her class and was inducted into their "Hall of Fame"! Throughout her career she craved a team environment where like minded people could create amazing careers and the team would celebrate each others successes as much as their own, all while giving the guest the highest quality experience possible. In early 2019, based off of those principles, Six Ten Hair Studio was born.
Ashley and her husband are self proclaimed foodies! She loves talking with her clients about the newest restaurant they have tried or the best locations for their next vacation (she's road tripped through 47 of the 50 states!) At home, you will find her binge watching a series on Netflix and cuddling with her fur kids, Gunner & Hank.
Ashley has a true love for creating the perfect color and cut for her guests. Since opening the doors to Six Ten, she has discovered a new passion for leading her team and growing her ever evolving business. As of 2022, Ashley can only be found behind the chair 2 days a week so she can spread out her time equally between her two passions. She is constantly attending classes and is always so excited to gush about the newest thing she learned. Sitting in her chair is a different experience than most guests are used to. The entire process from consultation, to color choice, to application and styling products will be thoroughly explained to the client. Shelby Hacker

Growing up, Shelby never played sports or found a hobby she really enjoyed. Over the years experimenting with her own styles seemed to pique her interest. So much so, she decided to make a career out of it!
Starting behind the chair in 2011, she instantly knew she found the career path for her. The salon atmosphere is the perfect place to combine her desire to please people and her love of talking! Before Six Ten, she was owner Ashley's hairstylist. During an appointment, Ashley talked to her about her idea of opening a local salon and from that day forward, Shelby was part of the studios vision. From helping decide the location to the paint on the walls and getting her hands dirty during the renovations, she has helped every step of the way. In 2021, our team voted her "Employee of the Year" for her hard work and dedication to our company! She loves being a part of the Six Ten family. "This is what I have been searching for my entire career. We have big dreams, we work hard and are so passionate about this industry. I couldn’t be more grateful to be surrounded by people who love what we do and constantly strive to be better AND put in the work to do it. We’re not just coworkers but family."
On the weekends you will find Shelby and her husband, John shopping for the perfect piece of accent furniture at Homegoods, taking their son, Isaiah to the park or relaxing with her family and friends on the lake or at the beach. Shelby and her family as also very active in their religion!
After the studio was open for a few years, Shelby noticed our team was struggling to train fresh talent. She decided to create and launch our 4 month paid, intensive training program for new stylists graduating cosmetology, before they go behind the chair at our salon. She has since had 2 team members graduate out of the program and we couldn't be more proud of the success of it! It is so exciting to see her get to be a huge part of the young stylists careers. When she is behind the chair, she loves creating the perfect haircut to compliment her "best of both worlds" blonding service. Molly Calabrese

After two years of studying to become an Art Teacher, Molly craved a different outlet for her artistic, creative side. Upon touring Metro Beauty Academy in 2016, she knew exactly where she wanted to be - in a salon, making people feel beautiful!
Molly loves being with people. Her and her identical twin sister are the youngest of 7 children, so she thrives in the bustling salon environment! However, her favorite family member is her English Bulldog, Lily. Summer is her favorite season, you will find her laying on the beach or floating on a boat with a good book in her hand and Taylor Swift on the radio.
Aside from giving people high impact transformations with Hand Tied Hair Extensions, Molly is the queen of balayage color transformations! Her favorite part about an appointment is seeing the hair come to life and showing her clients their before and after photos. Clients love Molly's lighthearted and fun side, she is always singing along to her favorite songs and almost always has a great story to tell! She loves a good color transformation challenge! Not only does she love a hair transformation, but she as knows a lot about home renovations as she bought, gutted and remodeled her Cape Cod home in 2020! Liz Frankenfield

After doing her own hair for the first time at 14, Liz immediately knew she discovered something special. Looking in the mirror that day and realizing how good it made her feel, made her decide on a career in the beauty industry. Starting in a salon in 2015 she instantly knew, she made the perfect choice!
Liz is passionate about breaking the mold of traditional hair color and styling. She geeks out with the science behind hair, saying "It is incredible and I love it! I enjoy a challenge, with doing vivids and color corrections, I get exactly that. I love creating art that will stand out. I always wanted to do my hair different colors so understanding and figuring out how to get from one color to the next, gets me so excited." Clients leaving Liz's chair are always saying how well cared for and comfortable they felt and that she was very understanding and worked with their hair goals. She will give you a completely honest answer of how to get there or what may be possible. You can also expect lots of laughs and an attentive and caring person to make sure you enjoy your experience to the full extent!
Speaking of transformations - Liz has recently lost 130+ pounds! During her time off, you can find her at the gym, trying out new dinner recipes with friends. Liz enjoys rollerskating and says laughing is her favorite pass time.
Liz joined our team shortly after we opened and she is the perfect Yin to our teams Yang. She loves the team based atmosphere and having a group of women who share in the same dreams and visions as her. Brittany Watson

Brittany joins us with 8 years of behind the chair experience! She entered the industry to make people look & feel like the best version of themselves. She prides her self on giving her guests a positive outlook on their appointment and them knowing she will put the highest effort into making their hair dreams a reality.
In her down time, she enjoys working on home renovations, spending time with her family & friends or enjoying dinner and cocktails at a new spot, with her fiancee Travis. Brittany also enjoys gardening, yoga and snuggling with her kitty, Willow. She came to Six Ten craving a company she could grow with and expand her knowledge. Brittany has found herself right at home, being voted by her team as "most likely to make work fun". She enjoys the teamwork vibe Six Ten has to offer and loves that everyone is there to support her, while having a fun, laid back atmosphere.
Brittany specializes in customized balayage and lived in colors. She says she loves being able to offer her guests the blended lived in root look as it offers maximum longevity between appointments for minimal upkeep. If this is what your looking for in a stylist, Brittany is your girl!

Kaylee Thomas

Kaylee has 8 years experience in the hair business. She is passionate about all things haircutting but also enjoys giving a guest a complimenting color to accent their haircut. To seal the deal, don't miss out on one of her killer blowouts!
Kaylee joined our team in September of 2020 and we are blown away by how fast she has grown! She is the calm to our teams crazy. She says "Being on the STHS team, is one big crazy, fun, loving family! We always have each other's backs. Having 6 years of salon experience before starting at Six Ten - this kind of positive, educated, team oriented environment seemed like a dream... here I am living it!"
In her time away from work, she enjoys hanging out with friends and family, visiting a winery or grabbing some wings and drinks with her fiancee, Justin.
Kaylee is no stranger to determination and hard work. She says “I was born with a birth defect, spina bifida. I was raised to not fall under self pity, but push myself harder to accomplish everything I want in life. Ashley is so eager and loves this industry so much. She has spent her first two years in the industry, tirelessly perfecting her blonding skills. For her first year at Six Ten, she trained side by side with our manager, Shelby. She is very dedicated to her craft. You must check out her work to see how well it has paid off!
Outside of work she loves to relax with friends at a country concert, spend time with her family or attend a festival to enjoy all the yummy food! She is a dog momma to her boy, Cash, the husky. Her and her boyfriend Dylan are currently renovating their home in the Poconos. She always enjoys spending time outdoors while kayaking or fishing!
She loves to be creative and is happy to work in an environment where she gets to work with her guest to build the perfect color and style for them! Whether you're looking for a soft, sunkissed brunette or a bright, dimensional blonde, Ashley can't wait to help you achieve the hair of your dreams!

Ashlyn Waked

Ashlyn has been with Six Ten Hair Studio since she was 16. We have watched her blossom into a successful young woman!
Ashlyn is unbelievably hardworking and is always looking to help her team and guests, with a big, genuine smile on her face. Everyone knows Ashlyn will put forth the best effort she can for any task or hair goals she may be given, making the service industry an absolute perfect fit for her! She loves working with Six Ten because she says "it's like having 14 sisters, everyone has each others backs".
Ashlyn loves spending time with her teacup Yorkie, Bentley. She also can be found escaping to the beach at any chance she gets.
In 2020 she was named our teams first ever, Employee of the Year. In June of 2021, Ashlyn graduated high school and the cosmetology program at the Career Institute of Technology. She then began her journey to be behind the chair, by entering our 4 month intensive stylist shadow program, where she trained side by side with our manager, Shelby. She is currently taking clients as she works to continue to perfect her craft & timing. Ashlyns future is so bright and we cannot wait to see her bloom into an even more successful stylist!

Jayne Confalone

Jayne joined the Six Ten crew over a year ago. She is the perfect compliment to our team, adding a positive outlook to our day to day lives. She loves working at STHS because "I love the teamwork! Everyone is always willing to help each other out and communicate to make things run smoothly. It’s always a fun and friendly environment to walk into everyday! "
Jayne received her bachelors degree from Bloomsburg University in 2019. After working for nearly 2 years with her degree as an ultrasound tech, she knew it was not where her passion lied and decided to follow her heart into the beauty industry. She went on to graduate from Metro Beauty Academy in September of 2021. Jayne then began her journey to be behind the chair, by entering our 4 month intensive stylist shadow program, where she trained side by side with our manager, Shelby. She is currently taking clients as she works to continue to perfect her craft & timing. We can't wait to see what her future holds!

Julie Rocco
SALON COORDINATOR
Julie decided to enter the industry after years of looking up to her aunt who later taught her at the Career Institute of Technology, where Julie graduated in 2018. Eager to learn and always educating herself, Julie was handpicked to be part the original Six Ten Staff. She is the perfect, positive fit for the team.
Julie is the life of the party! Always talking and bringing the sunshine to the room. Speaking of sunshine, in the warmer months you will find her sitting on the beach or at an outdoor country concert. In the fall, you will find her enjoying the fresh air on her fiancées family farm. Julie and Bryce welcomed their sweet son, Cash in September 2021.
Prior to being Six Ten Hair Studio’s Salon Coordinator, Julie was behind the chair. She would go above and beyond to give her guests the absolute best salon experience. So, when she was looking for a change in pace but still wanted to be in the salon atmosphere, we knew she would make the perfect addition to our leadership team! We are so lucky to have her helping us build our team members and giving our guests the best experience we can dream up.
